A Note About JazzEast's Music Education

Igniting creativity. Sparking jazz appreciation.

Since 1987, JazzEast has been reaching out to creative minds and introducing jazz to audiences at community centres, libraries, high schools, concert halls and our summer festival in Nova Scotia.

In 2011, JazzEast initiated new activities and relationships to attract youth and the creatively curious to the various forms of jazz—past, present and future. Workshops, lectures, master classes and partnered presentations furthered Nova Scotia’s appreciation and creation of jazz.
